Baniyas Cars is a large car showroom project in Rahayl Cars City, combining reinforced concrete and steel structure, aluminium and glass façades, skylights, steel canopies and high-end interior finishing. My role covered daily site supervision, coordinating between structural, architectural and MEP works, resolving technical issues and keeping quality and approvals aligned with the consultant and client.

Key responsibilities & highlights

Daily supervision of structural, architectural and finishing works, ensuring activities follow approved drawings and method statements.
Coordinating between structural, architectural and MEP drawings to avoid clashes and raising RFIs for missing or unclear details.
Managing RFIs, WIRs and MIRs with the consultant, ensuring all inspections are carried out and approved before subsequent activities.
Monitoring quality of concrete works, blockwork, plaster, waterproofing and floor finishes according to project specifications and QA/QC procedures.
Supervising installation of aluminium and glass façades, skylights and steel canopies and aligning them with structural and architectural requirements.
Following up with subcontractors and suppliers on material deliveries, approvals and technical submissions related to structural and finishing works.
Preparing short-term (weekly) look-ahead plans with the project team to keep critical activities and handover milestones on track.
Reviewing shop drawings and coordinating site changes to maintain clean interfaces between structure, MEP services and finishing elements.
Supporting the project manager with progress updates, site reports and documentation of key decisions and technical issues.
Ensuring safety and housekeeping requirements are implemented across showroom and back-of-house areas to maintain a safe and organised site.
