Role: Project Engineer Company: URUK Construction

A luxury private villa project in Abu Dhabi with high-end interior and exterior finishes, cladding, structural strengthening and detailed coordination between architectural, structural and MEP works. My role as Project Engineer focused on managing daily site activities, supervising finishing quality and keeping coordination smooth between all parties.

Key responsibilities & highlights

Supervising daily finishing works including marble, tiles, paint, joinery and feature walls to meet the required high-end standards.
Coordinating cladding and façade works with structural and architectural details to ensure clean interfaces and correct fixing methods.
Following up on structural strengthening works and ensuring they are executed according to approved details and method statements.
Reviewing shop drawings, finishes schedules and architectural details and resolving discrepancies before execution on site.
Managing RFIs and technical clarifications with the consultant for special details, finishes and structural modifications.
Coordinating with MEP teams to ensure that services align with ceilings, walls and decorative elements without clashes.
Monitoring quality of workmanship room by room and preparing snag lists for rectification prior to client visits and handover.
Following up on material deliveries, approvals and mock-ups for key finishes and decorative elements.
Supporting the project manager with short-term planning, progress updates and site reports focused on finishing and handover readiness.
Maintaining safety and housekeeping in a live villa environment and ensuring protection of finished areas during ongoing works.
